Meyer Plow Jeep Wrangler Installation Pictures (Meyer Drive Pro 6'8", Meyer EZ Classic, Meyer TM-6.5)

Jeeps and Meyer Snow Plows have been partners since the 1940's Willys CJ's came out. It has been a long, strong relationship to this day. Over the years, there have been some changes as far as plows and Jeeps go. In my opinion, the Jeep has evolved A LOT more than the plow.

The Meyer ST (Standard) plow was fist used on Jeeps in the 1940's. The mounts were considered "Custom", hence the name "Custom Classic". Many varieties were offered over the years for Jeeps. The Custom Classic design mounted the Lift Frame on top of the Jeep frame rails, and the undercarriage was permanently attached to the Jeep. In fact it was not uncommon for the plow frame to be welded to the Jeep frame.

Talking about how much the Jeep has changed...

There is a BIG difference just from the 2006 to the 2012 model under the hood!

So back to the plows used over the years. The ST was used on Jeep CJ's and Wranglers until 1996. Prior to 1987, the ST- 6.5' (aka ST78) plow was standard. From 1987 - 1996, for some reason, the ST-7.0 became standard. In 1997, Meyer designed the EZ Classic mount for the Jeep. It was in essence the same downsized EZ Classic that was used on the S-10, Jeep Cherokee, and Ranger, but the Lift Frame was a little smaller, and ONLY fit the Jeep Wrangler. It was also the first year that the Wrangler used the TM (Two Meter) Series plows. It was the first year (being an EZ Classic) that the tubular Lift Frame (with the pump and lights) could be removed in the off season. The TM was available in 5', 6' and 6.5' sizes. The TM Series was officially discontinued in November of 2009. All that means is that a complete new setup cannot be ordered. Parts will be available for at least 10 years. Only the Moldboard has been completely discontinued. Meyer offers the Facelift, which uses the Drive Pro Plow, with ears that will pin onto a EZ Classic TM Mount.

In 2007, the Jeep Wrangler joined the other smaller trucks and SUV's and the Drive Pro 6'8" (DP6.8) became standard. When the Drive Pro is removed from the vehicle, the Lift Frame, Pump, and Lights are removed as one piece with the blade.

Since the pump is attached with pins, it allows a lot of movement. replace the pins with bolts.

The King Bolt that is standard on the Drive Pro 6'8" is just a grade 8 Bolt. Replace it with a greaseable Grade 8.
