2003 Chevy 1500 Meyer Drive Pro 7'6" Plow Install


Before. Deer damage on right side.	VERY common. The DRL sockets melt. This is why we do not use the Meyer DRL module kit on these trucks. Most of the time the DRL do not work as it is.	All done.	Made a bracket for the 1 piece plug.

All done. Looks good. Truck side is 1.5" low. Ballast should help with that.	3/4 View	A view of how the 1 piece plug works.

2012 Dodge Ram 1500

This is the FIRST time I said yes to a 1500, and only because of the plastic bumper
cover, and it is a good customer that wanted this done. NEVER AGAIN.


Plastic bumper cover, I am jumping in with both feet on this one.	This is where the Clevis needs to be. This is the first 1500 with a plastic bumper, so I will be cutting as little as possible.	Hmmm, a little more work than I thought. No turning back now...	Here you can see I did NOT have to trim any of the painted crosspiece on the bumper of the plow to fit	Ready to go!

2003 Ford Explorer Meyer Drive Pro 6'8"


Looks innocent. This turned out to be the most time consuming install I EVER did.	The most "plow unfriendly" install I have ever done.	Not sure why they designed the Clevis to stick out so far? Never saw any other mount stick out this far before.	With the V8 this should have NO problem pushing snow!

2006 Dodge Ram 1500 TRX4 with Meyer Drive Pro 7'6" Plow
In case you are wondering what the TRX4 is.... from Pickuptrucks.com: "Following the success of the Dodge Power Wagon, the Ram 1500 will get it own off-road trim package. Called the TRX4, this model includes 17-inch alloy wheels, aggressive off-road tires, painted monotube shocks, tow hooks, skid plates and a limited-slip differential. Other features include fog lamps, body-color grille and TRX4 decals." No tow hooks on this one though...


I had to mock up the mount under the truck just to make sure it was going to work. Usually on the 03 & up 1500's they are too low, but this one is TALL. Luckily, Meyer just added an extra set of lower holes for the newer Dodges with the ridiculously tall bumpers (read, low to the ground bumpers) so I was able to use those lower holes and make this work. This is also a TRX4, and it has 285's on it instead of the stock 265's. It really is a nice looking truck, and with the short bed regular cab it is going to be an awesome plow truck.	Front bumper height.	Pulled out the driver's side headlight. Duct tape on the parking light and turn signal wires? Can see the bumper was clearcoated, but they masked off the headlight...

All 3 wires? Why would they need to strip insulation off the ground wire too?	Geez...	Had to cut 6" off the turn signal wire. It was black inside the insulation.

Passenger side, same thing, duct tape.	You guessed it, all 3 wires stripped....	Mount and wiring done.
